Devlog 14: Skipping Steam Spring Sale & Unique Loop Research
Hello Sudoku enthusiasts!
First, a quick announcement: we will not be participating in the upcoming Steam Spring Sale. Instead, our next discount is planned for April to coincide with a major game update. We apologize to those who were waiting for a sale and appreciate your patience.
This upcoming update is going to be massive! We are implementing a series of high-level solving techniques, including Unique Loop, Extended Rectangle (and its avoidable variants), and Grouped Chains. Once these features are complete, our solving system will be near-perfect, offering a significantly more professional and comprehensive Sudoku experience.
However, implementing these advanced techniques has proven to be quite a challenge. Some uniqueness techniques are under-researched—examples are scarce even on Google, and many existing solvers lack support for them. This has required us to design algorithms and verify instances entirely from scratch.

For instance, I recently managed to identify an example of an Avoidable Loop Type 2—a pattern I haven’t seen documented anywhere else online. Because of the complexity involved, this update needs a bit more time for polish. Please bear with us; we promise it will be worth the wait.
Beyond solving techniques, the new version will also introduce practical features like drawing tools in Gameplay Screen (coloring, chain drawing, etc.) to assist with the solving process.
Thank you for your continued support!
